Low Key

5.5C and mostly grey, but not as dull as yesterday. Rain forecast for the afternoon. Moderate South Easterly breeze.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went through to Arbroath before 9am and had a walk round the harbour. We walked round the inner harbour to the boatyard. The same boat was on the slipway. The fishing boat that had been on the slipway was still tied up in the outer harbour near the slipway. The inner harbour was very busy with lots of boats berthed, three or four deep in places.

I didn't see any fishermen on the outer harbour wall. The lock gate to the inner harbour was closed so we could walk round in a loop to get back to the car. Not freezing today but cold in the wind. Dull with flat light again today so I have gone for a low key shot to bring out the colours.

Maeve and I went for a walk after lunch. Van Morrison on the Nano (Avalon Sunset). Just a 2 mile loop down to the shore road and round the main road and back home.

The six nations rugby is back with us. First up was France 23 Italy 21 in a very tight match and later the Calcutta cup between Scotland and England. Tomorrow Ireland v Wales.
