Summertime, and the Livin' Is Easy

We had a perfect summer day today, and working around my exercise class at the Y in the morning, a long lunch with a friend in early afternoon, and my 90-minute yoga later in the afternoon, I took a few representative images to share what it's like here when we have SUN!

Fairhaven Fish & Chips' iconic 1948 London double-decker bus was doing a brisk business at noon, with many folks enjoying an al fresco lunch (there are more tables than you see here). On offer are chips with halibut, cod, salmon, Dover sole, or chicken; coconut prawns with orange-jalepeno dip; breaded oysters or clams; homemade clam chowder; and 50 flavors of soft serve ice cream.

The Wednesday Farmers Market on the Village Green -- the June through September second market of the Bellingham Farmers Market -- was in full swing, with live music and plenty to eat, drink, and buy. We're looking forward to taking our grandchildren there next week!

After my yoga class, I went to Marine Park (last seen in rare February sunshine) to explore photo possibilities. Without a long lens, taking photos of kayakers didn't yield much of interest, but the textures here pleased me, despite the distant haze.

A good day, and one to look back on when winter darkness and rain returns!
