Red Flower / busy day

I have spent the day mired in replying to emails, finalising drafts,  completing articles and reading documents - all the things I needed to do to clear my feet for the final  part  of the 2011-2016 Parliamentary session which starts tomorrow.  

Four weeks on Wednesday the Parliament will be dissolved and the election campaign proper will start, although it has actually been underway for all of this year. 

I always look forward to the moment when you can concentrate fully on one thing - the contest itself- but getting there can be a slog.  

So this sight lifted my heart late this afternoon - flowering for the first time too.
