Thursday 12 July 2012: 2nd update, baby Tricolored Herons
first time this week off early enough from work to get up to the wetlands boardwalk again-
the little tricolors that I first blipped the day they hatched, almost a month ago, (and updated when I saw them again 8 days later), are looking almost old enough to go out on their own. I couldn't believe how big they'd gotten. They were perched on a branch a couple feet up from their nest (which was in full sun)- maybe for the shade, maybe to hide? I couldn't see the third one, but hoped that it was just further inside the bush.
I got better photos of some Purple Gallinules again, and others, but for the sake of continuity, and the wonders of nature, decided to blip them again.
