Ten years in the making...

I indulged once again in a full Scottish breakfast before we checked out of our hotel to begin our last day exploring the Aberfeldy area. Since it was overcast and drizzly we decided to have a more relaxed sightseeing day and explore the Dewar's Aberfeldy distillery. We decided to partake in the upgraded tour in which you are able to sample a 25 year old Aberfeldy single malt as well as their 10 yr old, a wonderful dram which would have been all the better if I hadn't developed a terrible cold! (I had noticed a bit of a sore throat the morning before but was in denial!)
The distillery was very charming with a first rate museum dedicated to the story of John Dewar and the development of his whisky empire. Add to that tasty food from the cafe which is located in the old malting house and I was in heaven! It's great that Scotland has so much to offer year round! We ended our afternoon in The Mill in Aberfeldy browsing in the bookshop and art gallery and then sped down the road to Kinross to have dinner with K's family.
