We use this bit of kit to separate out the different types of haemoglobin in blood samples so we can measure the HbA1c, effectively a 3 month average of your blood glucose level. So no cheating by eating cakes for weeks before then having no sugar the day before the blood test...we can tell what you've been doing .

Ahh well that's another week over with. Oh hold on, no, I am back in again tomorrow. It's not so bad doing the weekend and at least the good old British summer is raging along unabated. 3 minutes of sunshine followed by 3 weeks of rain, at least I'll be in a nice dry lab. You can laugh at me now when it turns out to be a scorcher.
