Saturday 14 July 2012: Ploughing

I opened the front door this morning to sweep the rubbish from the steps and was greeted by this man and his fellow farmers.

As the farmer sows the dried corn, the plough pulls the blanket over the sweetcorn.
Add a sprinkling of water and some Egyptian sun and in a week or so this field will be lush and green.
