Magical Lantern Festival

I had the day off work on Friday, as my sister was coming over to stay for a couple of days.

We spent the afternoon in Richmond, then made our way to Chiswick House and Gardens where we had tickets to see the Magical Lantern Festival in the evening.  It was the last few days of the festival, so we were slightly worried that the giant lanterns would be battered and blown away by the strong winds we've had recently, as they'd been there for a few weeks.  It was all looking wonderful though, quite enchanting, glowing and magical!   It was a very cold evening, but a couple of cups of very strong mulled wine warmed us up a bit, as we wandered round.
