It's a Journey....

Barn Quilt

This old barn has not seen new paint for many years.  That is why I was surprised the first time I saw that the owners had put up a barn quilt piece.  The Barn Quilts of Carver County is an open air art gallery throughout the county.  According to their website, 24 different squares are mounted on barns throughout the county.  A self-guided tour map is available.  Their hope is that the public will enjoy a drive on the country roads to areas they would normally not see and enjoy the tribute to quilting and farming.  This is an entry for derelict Sunday.

I met my parents this morning in Waconia to attend the church that we were members of when I was growing up.  It has sure changed!  We didn't see many people they knew, but enjoyed chatting with a few people and attending the worship service.  We asked for a recommendation for a place for breakfast and were not disappointed.

As this gorgeous sky shows, we had unseasonably beautiful weather today.  Don grilled some wonderful steaks for dinner.  Another weekend quickly comes to a close.
