Saturday 14 July 2012: A perfect Peony
If you're a gardener, today may have been the first day in ages you were able to get out without it raining constantly.
It's really a "where on earth do I begin" situation. The weeds are knee high, the largest population of snails and slugs ever seem to have chomped through everything despite regular patrols to "cull" them. Thank goodness some flowers have come through unscathed. It's interesting that this peony has red flushes on some of the blooms this year, I'd swear that they weren't there before!
