Derelict Sunday 21 :: DS21 :: Or More a Rant...

This is the Pilgrims Way just north of Breasted, Kent. I was going to Blip it for Derelict Sunday because it is no longer used as the route of pilgrimage to Canterbury, as made famous by Chaucer in the Canterbury Tales.

Whilst driving long this stretch it became clear some un-holy people had off loaded the contents of a shop refitting/clearing. Over a dozen large chest fridges, glass fronted coolers and cupboards had been dumped on the roadside and even in the hedgerows. You'll see the next lot just on the left.

An open back lorry or large van must have stopped every 100 yards or so whilst others in the back offloaded the stuff. It will be down to the local council to clear up their mess and to pass the bill onto local tax payers.

This is so often the result of a business or homeowner taking the cheapest quote for building work or rubbish clearance. Hopefully something on the rubbish will trace it back to the owners.

Rant over...

Thanks goes to rainie for taking on the hosting of DS this month.
