Heading out

Today we spent the whole day in the Chamber starting at 9am and finishing at 7.30pm as we were completing two important bits of work. I was speaking in the first debate, which was on the Legislative Consent Motion (LCM) to agree to support the Scotland bill going through Westminster. This was probably my last speech in the parliament before we break for the election campaign.

The second bit of business was the final day of the Land Reform bill, which took up half the morning and then all afternoon right up until Decision Time at 7.30pm.

On the way out of the Chamber I stopped and took this photo of some of my colleagues heading down the stairs towards the Garden Lobby.
