Wednesday 26 November 2008: The Bridge is Out!
Whoops.
Somebody dug a JCB through a water main. The resulting flood scooshed down the road, and followed the line of least resistance to the river. Unfortunately that line was through the parapet of the bridge...
So the road to Springfield has been closed for 3 weeks now, and it looks like it will be for quite a while longer..
