First Lamb

A bit of a surprise this morning when I went in the shed. One of the ewes that was looking a bit weak last week who I had brought into the shed has had her lamb. Hes a strapping big Suffolk x. She has very small teats so he is struggling to keep hold of them to sook so he is needing quite a bit of attention unfortunately! So today I set up the maternity ward in preparation for lambing and got all the supplies out and made up a bag with essentials that will be in the buggy. Feeling a bit happier now I am ready for it!! Official start date is Saturday but there are some looking very close.
