What Crosses My Path...

R.I.P. Coffee Maker

It was a shock to us this morning when you no longer functioned. You were there for us for 5 years every morning and through all the long nights of studying for our tests, mid-terms and finals. You were so dependable, practical and red. I loved that you were red; you stood out amongst all the other appliances. You weren't white like the stove, refrigerator and toaster. You weren't black like the blender and the food processor. You were red like the queen of hearts! The queen of our kitchen. We'll miss your removable water reservoir with the nifty handle and your stainless steel carafe. Good-bye old friend. May your successor be as dependable as you.

Sorry the hubby did away with it before I even thought of taking a picture of it. Hope this silly coffee maker eulogy gave you a giggle.
