Temple Newsam

Since the rain stopped, my eldest and I went for a stroll around Temple Newsam - the grounds, starting in the walled garden. The house is really amazing - and has a real medieval feel to it. This is a house that has survived due to the family managing to maintain fortunes from one industry (farming) to another (mining). Eventually the remaining female owner gifted it to the city.

This view is round the back of the house, taking advantage of the seasonal bluebells and daffodils which are out at the moment.
