Views from the beach

Sunny morning, grey afternoon with rain.

F came early to help with some heavy lifting. Then I picked up my golf friend R to drive 1 hr 20 mins to Blairgowrie for their Ladies' Open Greensomes on the Rosemount Championship course. Had a great day. By chance, we were paired with the new Scottish Ladies' Senior Champion (Hcap 3) and her partner (6). It was a lesson on how to play superb golf. Our feeble efforts were encouraged and praised to the extent that we were lying 4th when we left to drive home.

We passed this amazing natural phenomenon Meikleour Beech Hedge which is the longest and highest the world having been planted in 1745 ! The tree on the left of the road is a normal full size tree. More here. Larger view.
