Malta: Day Two - "Transport"

Having remained in Gatwick over night (see previous entry), we caught an early flight out to Malta in the morning ...
The flight and coach journey to the hotel was smooth and uneventful, so we decided to continue in relaxed mode and sample an even more sedate form of transport to get to grips with our new surroundings ...
A short tour of the area on a horse and cart seemed appropriate ...
The driver, seen here - (with my mother in the carriage behind) - did tell me the name of the horse, but like all things that I don't write down, I forgot it five minutes later (to be fair, I doubt if I'd have been able to spell it anyway) ... Either way, the horse was rewarded with an apple for his troubles ... :o)
