The Wordsworth Graves

A really good day.

Lovely weather, lots of walking (my feet ache), and of course fantastic scenery everywhere.

We started off in Grasmere. The A591 is still closed (it is set to reopen on the 13th May, the opening ceremony is the 20th), So the south and north Lakes are still largely disconnected. We saw the longest bus queue we have ever seen. There is a bus service between Windermere and Keswick, which travels on a single carriageway road and has to be escorted.

The blip - I have never seen the Wordsworth graves in St Oswald's churchyard. Appropriate to be here when the daffodils are still in flower.
