Thursday 19 July 2012: Top Secret
This evening I have been putting the finishing touches to my best mans speech for a wedding on Saturday. A wee bit of final writing and a couple of practise runs. Obviously I can't allow you to see it...
I speak in public a fair bit, and I've been in front of bigger audiences on a number of occasions, but for some reason I'm more nervous about this than most times I have to speak. It must be because it's such a special couple and a special day - and perhaps also because there are so many ways for a best mans speech to miss it's mark.
I'm fairly happy with what I have written, and as long as I know I am genuinely doing my best, I think I'll be OK...
