This man 'ere, centre stage, is one of the people responsible for instilling in me a desire to try cyclocross, a direct result of which is me riding in the Haughcross on Sunday in Aberdour. Tonight he was riding in one of the criterium races out at Ingliston, so it only felt right that he should take centre stage here, because come Sunday evening I'm either going to be hating him for putting me up for the mudfest that is CX, or wanting to buy him a drink for introducing me to it probably. Either way I've got to try and get my mug on the cult 'Dig In' video podcast thingy that he forms one half of.

Rode out after work, and glad I was meeting a friend there as the ride back to Edinburgh was somewhat headwindy, and he's a stronger rider than me, so he played Froome and I (sort of) played Wiggins, and sheltered for the most part, only taking short turns at the front till my legs went into mini explosion (and unlike Jens Voigt, shouting 'Shut Up Legs!' at them simply doesn't work).

Morning was cyclingy as well, with a tour along the route of the 'Quality' Bike Corridor. Snapping parked cars, parking outwith designated loading house, and daft bits of infrastructure (including half a mile southbound where there isn't even a bike lane along the road, Quality Bike Corridor indeed) was like shooting fish in a barrel. Still got to sort those photos and set up the Flickr group about it. You'd think they'd have learned from the Londinium Cycle 'Superhighways' (which are basically the same bike lanes painted blue). We can but try...

Work was... Work. Actually, not a bad day, busy, but I got things done, and a couple of meetings went really well in comparison to how I'd expected things. Just Friday to get through, then a stonkingly busy weekend. It doesn't let up.
