Red squirrel

Another beautiful, blue-sky day! But not nearly as warm as it was exactly one year ago, when we moved to Northumberland.

We stopped to look at the squirrel feeder on the way to Wooler Common this afternoon, not really expecting there to be a squirrel again today. But we were in luck! Watched it take several nuts from the feeder (see extras) before it spotted us, and scampered away to this branch, slightly higher up the tree. It (or maybe a different squirrel) was on the feeder as we left the Common too.

To friends' for a delicious meal - and some music - this evening.
