The Rook

You have already seen the Bishop, the Queen, and the King, so now here is the Rook. This warrior (from the Lewis Chessmen) is modeled on the "berserker" Viking warriors, who dosed themselves with 'magic mushrooms' before going into battle (thereby being suicidally enthusiastic for the fight and almost oblivious to pain). Hence the warrior biting the corner of his shield in agony/ecstasy.
