Snap Davit Pad

I have a really dull Blip for you today. As it is a bank holiday weekend I was hoping we would be sailing, but still have a cold northerly and rain on the forecast. The boat has some Snap Davits fitted to the stern so I though I'd fit the pads to the dingy. They have proved to be horribly expensive, £200 for the pads and nearly £50 for the glue.
So today has been all about marking out, cutting to fit and dealing with horrible chemicals (Acetone, two part PVC glue etc). Just have to wait 48 hours to see if they have stuck properly.
Will it be worth it?
