Grand Opening

Today was the grand opening of Newbridge Park in Pickering.

It has been a volunteer driven project to turn former quarry land behind Pickering Castle into an outdoor pursuits area.

So far the volunteers of which my other half and blipper (robt) is one have created a cycle trail and skills area and picnic site. Other projects planned are a cross country cycle trail, woodland meadow and walking trails.

It was great to see over a year's worth of work come to fruition.
