Wildlife Wednesday : Downwind

I can smell you, human... makes you wonder if the underarm stuff is not working, or working too well, eh. This is a fallow deer from the Dyrham herd near Bath.

Male fallow deer age through named divisions; faun in the first year, pricket in the second, then sorrel, sore and buck. I'm guessing this one is a sore...

It's the annual parish meeting tonight, and I almost know what I'm going to be doing. It's a bit sunny to worry about it at the moment. :-)

Tip o' the antlers to Cailleach, who is hosting Wild Wednesday.
