Sunday 22 July 2012: Supercool

Robbie Phillips climbing 'Supercool' at Gordale Scar. Super-cool and Super-imposing. From my perch I couldn't communicate the depths of the gorge below in my photographs the way I would have liked - without risking death (further)- but did my best. It is a vast amphitheatre; sheer rock pressing from either side, crowding in from above. The wind whilstles through the chasm and whips the waterfall into a frenzy, increasing the intimidation of the place.
