Is this high key?

After admiring V1k1s lovely agapanthus yesterday I thought I would have a try at high key. I did read a bit about it first. It was a grey day so thought I could put these lily seed pods in front of a window but I got too much background. Then I tried white paper on window and that worked ok. It seemed a bit easy so I am wondering did I get it right?
In extra is where the window edge gave a shadow. I need advice on whether shadows are allowed or enhance it or not.
It filled in half an hour anyway and I certainly had to change my settings and use a tripod and timer.
