If you can't beat them...

Day13 of our Solace Trip.  Heading down the Trent and Mersey aiming to be back to Great Haywood in time to get the end of trip filling up and emptying tasks done before the service point closed at 4:30.

As we were along side this beauty the Mate said "with a chimney like that it has to be a steamer!"  Turning to look I saw the name.  "its EmmilyAnne!!!!".  Why the excitement?  Well despite never having seen her before I knew of her.  She was built in 1991 by the Grandfather of a young man who owns the Canalworld Internet discussion forum (which I read).  She is a Dutch Barge Style steam Narrowboat  (Narrow boats are NOT barges).

The rest of the day didn't go so well as we arrived at the marina a few minutes after the services closed.  This meant that as well as the packing and cleaning and tidying we do on the last morning of a trip we will have to leave our berth and go to the service point.  However with a bit of organisation that will make unloading easier.
