Young Lovage

One of the first plants in our garden when we moved into this house 29 years ago was lovage.  I forget who gave it to us but it has remained a fixture ever since.
It grows from nothing to well over 2 meters in a remarkabley short time. These have grown from nothing to 45 cm iin a week! The leaves provide flavouring for salads, soups, stews and broths. Apparently the seeds are also useful, and even the roots can be eaten.
It’s really tough, surviving the coldest and longest winters and can easily be moved in the garden.
A plant to admire!
