Between two old volcanoes

This morning I rode my bike over the route I intend to take when going to catch the ferry to Northcote Point. Found out how long it might take. Also found out that it was an easy route; this direction. Not so easy going back the other way. 

Then went on to the end of Queen's Wharf and awaited the rising of the sun. A number of blippable shots, and this is the one I chose.

A busy morning (for S and the boys and C a show; for me a person to review for the Family Court), followed by a drive out to Piha to spend some time (including staying the night) with a good friend. The extra was taken as the sun fell towards the Tasman Sea.
