Boundary Dwellers

From under that cherry tree

The blossom has gone, and the city is frothy with the later flowering, very pink municipal plantings at roadsides and in parks.

But walking along from Goldenacre after a trip to the Christian Aid Book Fair in George St (where my parents in their late 80s are among the many volunteers), the view of the skyline stopped me in my tracks

I've been living here for 18 years, and see this many times a day, but every so often the beauty of it, and my luck in being an Edinburgher, strikes me afresh. Perhaps it was the surprisingly summery afternoon that got me.
