Woodcutting

It was a busy project day today, so busy that I shot few photos. We started the day buying supplies, including four eight foot long 6x10 beams. These were twice as long as we needed for the garden steps, so the lumber yard used their big saw to cut them in half (shown here). The rather ordinary photo needed a bit of post processing punch - enter Nik Color Effects Pro. Pick a preset, adjust a few sliders and the work is done. Wish the backyard re-landscaping had gone as fast. We can't complain too much, however, our son and daughter-in-law graciously host us while we are in Seattle. A little, or even a lot of, manual labor is a small price to pay for such lovely accommodations.
