Camellia Sasanqua.....

......In honour of the Autumn Sun.
In the ancient garden world of Japan and China, gardeners and naturalists used to know exactly when true Autumn had arrived for that was the day the first Sasanqua Camellias burst into bloom.

It felt more like winter than autumn today, bitterly cold southerlies whipped through the garden sending petals and leaves flying in all directions. It was a chilly 11C round noon but felt more like 7C. A quick dash into the garden between gusts of wind to get this shot and then an equally quick dash to return to the warmth of indoors.

An ever changing sky which is looking a little angry, not sure we'll see sunset tonight.

Happy Sunday everyone :)
