Hornbeam Haircut

Today's the day ......................... for a bit of topiary

Me and gardening don't really hit it off. Generally my gardening involves a chainsaw or some other equally subtle piece of equipment.

These two Hornbeams have been growing together at the top of our drive ever since we moved here and we try to keep them trimmed as we found them. They've been in bad need of a haircut for some time, so today I got to use the stepladder and secateurs.

They're now what I'd call neat and tidy, but perhaps the fervent topiarists among you may beg to differ.
