All at sea

A day off duty. Nothing to do except attend two lectures on Arctic/Antarctic exploration (both very interesting); a talk on the ports we will be visiting next week; catch up with friends around the ship; wave to Bear Island as we passed it once again; go for a swim. We did not have time for the game of chess we had planned for, or to go to the bridge class, or the dance class, or the 'International Wine Fayre', or the classical guitar concert. In between times, we fitted in breakfast and lunch, but skipped the afternoon tea. I even found that the Internet was back on, and managed to get away my blips for the days missing since Tromso.

Then came dinner - a formal night. Time to get dressed up in our best bibs and tuckers. We are still in the Land of the Midnight Sun, but tonight it is totally clouded over. Thankfully, we got some good shots of it a couple of nights ago.

Lastly, a 'Big Band Concert'. There are only 6 musicians in the Boudicca Orchestra, but they put on a really good show.

Tomorrow, back to work. From the small port of Honnigsvag, a trip to the Northern point of mainland Europe, the North Cape.
