It's a Beautiful Life

Modern Art Galleries

An historic day today...the sun shone upon Edinburgh :o) ...and it appeared as my friend and I were heading to the modern art galleries for a spot of culture. We decided to do cake first and headed straight for the garden terrace to soak up the all-important vitamin D. Purely medicinal. We left it so late that we only managed to see part of the Munch exhibition before we were thrown out at closing time! I'll just have to go back...

This is a land sculpture called Landform Ueda (2002) by Charles Jencks, and American architect and professor. It took a team of people 2 years to create it form his drawings and it sits in front of the Modern Art Galleries I in Edinburgh.
