My beloved Oslo - Akerselva

Today I went together with my colleagues strolling along Akerselva, the main river that runs through the city, and then dinner at Grünerløkka.

Akerselva is 9,8 km long and has a fall on totally 149 m. This is the one of the falls and you can see that all the rain the last days has makes it quite impressive even if never will be Niagara falls :-)

The river has been important for the industry in the city, but nowadays it's mostly office buildings and apartments beside the river.  It a popular green area for recreation. Last year the salmons were back in river and it's again possible to fish.
