Tuesday 24 July 2012: Electrifying!
(Taken at the Loxahatchee Wildlife Refuge (northern Everglades), way out west of town, about 5:30PM.) I happened to be out that way anyway, and decided to take the road out there while the sun was shining. But a big storm was brewing, and heading east with lots of thunder and lightning. I got lots of really nice cloud shots, but only managed to catch this and 2 smaller lightning strikes. I missed many more- have no idea of the best way to catch lightning... Finally decided maybe I should get in the car and get out of there, but it was exciting.
