Blue-winged Warbler

A  not especially common species that we are fortunate to have nesting in the Fort River refuge, where we went this morning.  There were two pairs, brilliant in the early sun, though not close. Later along the wonderful path and boardwalk we had a close house wren, which I've put up as an extra. (It seems to be holding some sort of filament at the base of  its beak.)

Brief information on Fort River (administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service) is here -- page down several times.
