Dashed out at lunch to look round the art college's graduate show-performance costume as dramatic as usual. Had a few minutes' catch up with the Cs as they were passing through Edinburgh, then back to work til it was time to set off for Perth to see the National Theatre of Scotland's 'The 306: Dawn' about the young men who were shot for cowardice or insubordination in the First World War. Dreadful journey with traffic jams that meant it took more than an hour to get to the Forth bridge. Arrived in time though....It was staged in a barn outside Perth and was fantastic. Very moving and powerful. The extra is the model of the set that was on display at the back of the barn-the little black squares were the seats spread throughout the action
