State Library Reading Room

Another action packed day. Immigration Museum in the morning. This was so interesting to see how Australia has changed over time with regards immigration laws and various encouragements provided by the state governments to get people here.

Lunch at an amazing Greek restaurant called Ena on the Southside by the River Yarra. So so good!! I was very impressed with myself and finished the whole gyros plate! Nom!

Wandered down to Captain James Cook's Cottage. Having grown up in an area where it is James Cook everything we had to make sure we went here. His parents cottage was moved brick for brick from Great Ayton, North Yorkshire in 1933 to Fitzroy Gardens here in Melbourne. Lovely wee cottage actually. They even had grown some ivy for the side of the cottage from an original cutting in Yorkshire.

Then a walk to the State Library (via a Starbucks Coffee!). This was another recommendation for a look around. Beautiful building. I love this view of the reading room from above. It was packed!

A spot of ice cream at Gelato Messina! Oh wow! 2 scoops of heaven!

Tram home and our Vietnamese delivery has just arrived, time to dig in!
