Tiny Tuesday 54 Honeybells II

This week Walking wombat has asked us to introduce a weather theme into the challenge.  Well, we certainly had a day of two halves weatherwise to choose from!  The morning began warm, clear and sunny.  By 4pm the heavens had opened with heavy rain accompanied by lightening and thunder- all very dramatic!
I failed to get out this morning to blip something so I went for the inevitable droplet shot after the storms had left us.
These charming honeybells, or Nectaroscordum siculum to  give them their proper name, close up when the sun has gone.  In this this shot a tightly closed flower shows  a whole branchlet of flowers reflected in the drop of rain hanging from it.

In other news: today is Violet's last day of being 1. I unexpectedly picked her up from nursery this afternoon, which gave me the chance to take a pre birthday blip of her, which you can see here!
