Thursday 26 July 2012: It's In The Eyes Of The Beholder

Chancer will never win any awards for his great beauty, not that he or I would be interested in such competitions, but he is by far the friendliest cat I have ever known. Nothing ever upsets him to any great degree and he loves the company of other humans. He even likes small children when they come to visit which, as most cat owners will tell you, is a rare thing indeed. Our other cat Charlie will hide for days or even a weeks when our nieces and nephews come out here on holiday. Kids are just too unpredictable for him and don't follow the rules. I suppose Charlie is a classicist really and Chancer is more of a romantic, just like his human dad. That's the best way I can put it.
