Juvenile Wood Duck?

The weather conditions today are perfect for outdoor activity, so I ended up taking two long walks.  The second was along the C&O Canal with my camera.  I took many shots of a beautiful metallic colored dragonfly, but I kept coming back to this little lone duck.  I don't know where the rest of the family went, and neither did this juvenile.  It was quacking and paddling along the shore line.  At first I thought it was a mallard, but after googling pictures, I'm now leaning toward a wood duck.  Regardless, it was so darn cute.
