Lochranza

Houses along the shoreline at Lochranza on the island of Arran. The land rising behind the village is covered in rhododendrons and while very pretty when in flower, as they are now, they quickly become a serious menace choking out all other plant life and efforts are now being made control them.

Tourism is the main focus in the community that is home to Arran's Distillery opened in 1995 and now successfully selling all over the world as well as to the constant stream of visitors

There is one hotel that is friendly informal and the kitchen provides good value local food
