Chalk

Stuff I've learnt about these magnificent cliffs on the Sussex coast. They date from the late Cretaceous epoch, 87-84 million years ago, and the chalk was laid down during the Coniacian and Santonian stages by badgers. This shot is from Birling Gap looking along the Seven Sisters towards Cuckmere.

Just gearing up for the start of the Olympics - hope I can stay awake!
