RAF Distinguished Flying Medal (reproduction)

Found this amongst some junk and other medals and put it on an auction site. I don't know anything about medals and was surprised when people started offering me large sums of cash in order to settle the auction privately. Eventually sold it for £3,110. Sadly, it transpires that it is a reproduction and not an original. Just as well I hadn't booked my flights to Nepal as I need to give the guy his money back.
