Cuckoo Spit

Blobs of white frothy liquid appear on plants in late spring at a time when the familiar call of cuckoos can be heard. The nymphs of the Common Froghoppercreate and live inside the froth.

In other news, I'm still ploughing though the records from our wildlife group visit yesterday and it's looking hopeful that we will reach (my) target of recording 200 species from the site.
