Episode 12 in which MrP makes a friend

What is going on here, dear reader? You may well ask. Some team from Tallinn that no one had ever heard of (Infonet FC since you ask) taking a deserved lead at Tynecastle. We won eventually thanks to a dodgy penalty and an o.g. Strewth. As the Beeb reported, the away leg will not be a formality.
So then a beer with Rog who revealed himself as something on an expert on the Baltic states and the ethnic and national tensions therein. Worrying, indeed.
So, then the bus home. Except I have to change buses at the west end. And it was wet and the bus wasn't for TEN minutes. And the door of Mathers was standing open. Well, what you do? That's right, I ordered up a Fettercairn. And the chap beside me at the bar (a glimpse of maroon in his pocket) was studying his bus app. He was also waiting for the Granton bus, and before long we were whistling along yapping about the Hearts, the watering holes down Granton way, and much more. A decent cove! So we looked at the night and the approaching stop outside The Anchor, and decided one for the road would be well in order. Unfortunately it was closed. Still, Innes and I exchanged details and shook on it. I think I may have a new friend. Friend!
